State Farm Insurance has been serving the community of Leon for over twenty-seven years now.  Originally they were located in Lamoni.  Since they had several clients that were in the Leon area, they felt that it would be a great asset and service to not only their business but also to the community to open an office in Leon as well.  They started in Leon just a couple of days a week, but soon found that they needed to be in Leon full time.

Mike Beckner took over the agency in 2000, but before that served as a Speech Pathologist for Wayne County at the AEA for twenty-three years.  Renee Cassity, manager of the Leon office, has been working for State Farm for over thirty years now, starting back in 1983 in Corydon before transferring to Lamoni and then to Leon.  Michele Muir also works at both the Leon and Corydon offices.

State Farm is widely known for its automobile insurance, and has been the largest auto insurer in the U.S. since 1942.  About one in every five cars on the road is insured with State Farm.  However, that’s not the only service that State Farm offers their customers.  In addition, State Farm also offers a variety of other insurance services to their customers: homeowners, renters, life, health, disability, long-term care, business, and fire insurance, among others.  They don’t stop there either, as they offer many banking and financial services.  State Farm Bank offers auto loans, mortgage and home loan products, mutual funds, as well as deposit products like CD’s, savings accounts, and checking accounts.

“Like a Good Neighbor” State Farm works hard to ensure that customers needed are met at all times with their national 24 hour service.  “State Farm strives to always offer excellent service to our customers,” stated Rene Cassity, “I feel that we give our all so that our clients get the great service they deserve.”  Their mission is to “help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.”

We would like to thank State Farm for all of their hard work and dedication to the community of Leon, both today and for the last thirty years.  We are very fortunate to have an agency that can offer the top notch services in the industry.  We look forward to many more years of success.
